What we build

Four kinds of work, all run by our own crew. If your project mixes them, a kitchen with a small bump-out for example, we price and schedule it as one job.

  • Kitchens

Layout changes, new cabinetry, counters, lighting and the plumbing and electrical behind them.

    • Wall removal and new beams
    • Custom or semi-custom cabinets
    • Stone, tile and wood floors

    Typical

8 to 12 weeks on site

  • Bathrooms

Primary suites, hall baths and powder rooms, taken down to the studs and waterproofed properly.

    • Curbless and walk-in showers
    • Tub-to-shower conversions
    • Heated floors and ventilation

    Typical

4 to 6 weeks on site

  • Additions

Rear and side additions, second stories and bump-outs, framed and finished to match the house.

    • Foundations and framing
    • Roof tie-ins and siding match
    • Permit drawings coordinated

    Typical

4 to 7 months on site

  • Whole-home renovations

Several rooms or the whole house at once, phased so the work runs in a sensible order.

    • Floor plan changes
    • Systems upgrades: wiring, HVAC, plumbing
    • Older-home repairs and trim

    Typical

    Phased, scheduled with you

We also take on basements, porches and mudrooms, and the structural repairs that turn up during other work.

Before and after, drawn to scale

Three typical projects, drawn the way we draw your house before we price it. Drag across each one to see the existing room become the finished one.

How a project runs

The same six steps for a powder room or a whole house. You always know which step you are in and who to call.

  1. 01Day 1

    Call or send the form

Tell us which rooms, a rough budget and when you would like to start. We call back within two business days to book a visit.

  2. 02Week 1 to 2

    Walk-through and measure

We come to the house, measure, photograph, open a cabinet or two and talk through what you want and what the house will allow.

  3. 03Week 2 to 3

    Written estimate

A line-item scope with allowances for finishes and a start window. Revising it is free, and you are never asked to sign on the visit.

  4. 04Weeks 3 to 8

    Drawings, selections, permits

We finalize drawings, help you choose finishes in order of lead time, and file permits with your town.

  5. 05On the schedule

    Build

One lead carpenter runs your job every day. Dust walls go up, floors get covered, and you get a short written update each Friday.

  6. 06Last day

    Final walkthrough

We walk every room with you, finish the punch list, and hand over warranty terms and care notes in writing.
